Can you trust in the truth, even if it looks like the contrary right now?

so i've heard it said many times that sex sells. so sex is all over the place, in advertisements and movies, etc. so if God is better than sex, why isn't God all over the place and in everything? or why don't more people see this and why doesn't God become viral?

- John Benscoter God is everywhere. God is more intricate and embedded in the universe and planet earth more than we know. God made us sexual beings and so he made it good between a man and a woman within the boundaries of marriage. Satan has the world duped and confused about sex through lies in the advertisements and media. When you hear something long enough it becomes true to you but its not always truth. Believe a lie about it and satan can Hijack your identity and brainwash you into doing anything. But God! In His great mercy has redeemed us though his Son Jesus and the finished works of the cross.July 29 at 9:10pm · · 2 people
- Jessica Kara ♥ we're cut off from the Spirit of God, and dead spiritually before Jesus... our flesh rules, and dominates, and the enemy knows this, so he heaps out everything that appeals to our flesh, because we're dead to the reality of who we were created to be, and to the One who loves and made us.. we're sick, and try to make ourselves feel better by pleasing the flesh.. until we are drawn by God to seek Him, we're blind and spiritually dead..July 30 at 1:55pm ·

Jordan Oram - Why is it that so many people look to external sources to answer internal questions/fears etc? Is volume the greatest determining factor of success? And are those who we would consider the most content and aware (ie the Dalai Llama) the people getting the most action? Some things that make you go "Hmmmm". ;)
I'd also say the the concept and definition of many peoples' "God" is rather narrowly defined, and misinterpreted but that's a story for another time. Do we often want what is best for us or what we think is best for us? How many kids love eating them veggies or would rather just chomp down on the Halloween Candy? How many people try to answer the question "Am I loveable?" with the arms of another? And does that provide a lasting answer? ;) I don't think I know all these answers LOL But I think they could be interesting questions ;)

Matthew Graybosch - Because a careful reading of the Old Testament would reveal that God is a demon who has proven time and time again to be inimical to the human race. Fortunately, the God of Abraham has as much basis in reality as Odin, Zeus, Indra, Amaterasu, Osiris, Coyote, Arioch, or Cthulhu.

Tracy Sloan - +Matthew Graybosch WHAT??? Nevermind, I don't want to debate it. +Jared Roberts just take any comments with a grain of salt. And I'll gladly talk to you about God if you want to, but not at the expense of being ridiculed by others on here. These comments sadden me. But as for why he doesn't become viral... because of all the evils in the world that Satan tempts us with. It's so easy to fall into that. And if there is no God in the world, then there would be no evil, and there is plenty of that, so it gives us (Christians) hope that there is a loving God that will eventually combat and destroy it. For without hope in an evil world, why would we want to live? That's the question every person that's ever contemplated suicide has asked, and most that are without God and don't know such hope, do end up killing themselves. How do I know that? I suffer from depression, but it's that hope in God that keeps me here.

Rob Smith - The reason God doesn't become viral is because society is shifting slowly away from traditional ideas of religion. We're slowly heading to the point where people are accepted for who they are as long as it doesn't negatively harm the general population. This is a great thing, but traditional religions are fighting this and so they're losing mindshare with the youths that are also the ones who make viral stuff work. Non-traditional religions are just too small right now to make a bit impact in society in general.

Matthew Graybosch - Actually, +Rob Smith, God has been viral for the last couple thousand years. We're finally getting over it, but some people would like to see the Western world suffer a relapse.

Matthew Graybosch - I don't expect you to answer me, +Tracy Sloan, but ask yourself this: do you think you would be depressed if you didn't think that Satan was out there waiting for a chance to tempt you? And even if he was, wouldn't your God give you the strength to resist if you asked him in prayer?
